This position breaks down empty totes, separating the good and bad totes, hand stacks cases on the pallets according to customer specifications, and assists the cold room personnel with breaks and lunches.
Requirements
- Effectively communicate in English verbally and in writing
- Ability to understand instructions and follow directions in English, both written and oral. ( Requirement may vary by location)
- Must be able to be qualified within time frames established by facility
- Ability to perform basic math functions
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer operation knowledge, data entry skills, and be proficient in Microsoft Office programs
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
- Lock-out/Tag-out, Forklift, and Sanitation certification are
- Experience driving forklift in warehouse or manufacturing establishment preferred
Responsibilities
- Build s , fill s , stage s , and cap s totes in the cold room
- Report s on any safety, quality, and sanitation regulation issues
- Inspect s materials, products, and equipment to detect defects and malfunctions
- Maintain s good housekeeping of work are a
- Ensure s Case Erector staging area is full at all times
- Maintain cleanliness of work area
- Operate s controls to dump totes of product into hoppers
- Participate s in safety huddles
- Performs other duties as assigned
