This position breaks down empty totes, separating the good and bad totes, hand stacks cases on the pallets according to customer specifications, and assists the cold room personnel with breaks and lunches. Requirements

Effectively communicate in English verbally and in writing.
Ability to understand instructions and follow directions in English, both written and oral. (Requirement may vary by location).
Experience driving forklift in warehouse or manufacturing establishment preferred.
Must be able to be qualified within time frames established by facility.
Ability to perform basic math functions, required.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer operation knowledge, data entry skills, and be proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently.
Exposed to a noisy environment that varies from hot to cold in temperature
Exposure to manufacturing environments for up to 12 hours per work day to include: loud noise, excessive heat, cold, wet, slippery conditions, dirt, fumes, smoke, smells and allergies
Ability to do repetitious arm, wrist and hand movements required for job actions and procedures.
Must be able to work with hands and arms overhead, and to work in or under the equipment.
Requires manual dexterity, overall coordination and good balance to work both at ground level and in high places to perform job duties.
Ability to operate work related equipment
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Exposed to temperatures ranging from -20 degrees below zero to 35 degrees Fahrenheit in Freezer Operation and 37 degrees to 90 degrees Fahrenheit in Plant Operation
Climbing to various heights via stairs or ladders on a regular basic

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
Lock-out/Tag-out, Forklift, and Sanitation certification are required. If you are not qualified, you will be trained and must meet certification requirements.
Experience driving forklift in warehouse or manufacturing establishment preferred.

Responsibilities

Builds, fills, stages, and caps totes in the cold room.
Reports on any safety, quality, and sanitation regulation issues.
Inspects materials, products, and equipment to detect defects and malfunctions.
Maintains good housekeeping of work area.
Ensures Case Erector staging area is full at all times.
Maintain cleanliness of work area.
Operates controls to dump totes of product into hoppers.
Participates in safety huddles.
Performs other duties as assigned
