About The Position
This position breaks down empty totes, separating the good and bad totes, hand stacks cases on the pallets according to customer specifications, and assists the cold room personnel with breaks and lunches. Inspect s materials, products, and equipment to detect defects and malfunctions. Maintain s good housekeeping of work are a. Ensure s Case Erector staging area is full at all times . Maintain cleanliness of work area. Operate s controls to dump totes of product into hoppers. Participate s in safety huddles . Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Effectively communicate in English verbally and in writing.
- Ability to understand instructions and follow directions in English, both written and oral. ( Requirement may vary by location).
- Must be able to be qualified within time frames established by facility .
- Ability to perform basic math functions
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer operation knowledge, data entry skills, and be proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Exposed to temperatures ranging from -20 degrees below zero to 35 degrees Fahrenheit in Freezer Operation and 37 degrees to 90 degrees Fahrenheit in Plant Operation
- Climbing to various heights via stairs or ladders on a regular basi c
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
- Lock-out/Tag-out, Forklift, and Sanitation certification are . If you are not qualified, you will be trained and must meet certification requirements.
- Experience driving forklift in warehouse or manufacturing establishment preferred
