EMI Services is hiring a General Laborer responsible for grounds maintenance at Yuma Proving Grounds. The General Laborer will maintain ground of industrial, commercial or public property such as buildings, camp and picnic grounds, parks, playgrounds, greenhouses and athletic fields. The General Laborer will also repair structures and equipment. Salary $19.61/ hr. plus $10.00 fringe benefits used towards insurance and 401k! Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Experience in ground maintenance
Valid driver’s license compliant with REAL ID Act or willing and able to obtain one
Pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check
Regular, dependable attendance
U. S. citizenship to obtain and maintain access to military installations
Ability to use and have knowledge of all tools and equipment
Ability to perform most complex and unusual task without supervision
Ability to perform work in a rapid and efficient manner under extreme conditions
Ability to perform work safely under hazardous conditions.
Ability to select the proper equipment
Must lift 75 lbs. unassisted
Must work in extreme weather conditions - summer peaks at 120° Fahrenheit
Must wear appropriate Person Protective Equipment (PPO)

Responsibilities

Cut grass, using walking type or riding mowers (less than 2,000 lbs)
Trim hedges and edges around walks, flowerbeds and wells, using hedge trimmer, clippers and edging tools
Prune shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth, using shears and other hand tools
Plant grass, flowers, trees and shrubs
Water lawn and shrubs during dry periods, using hose or activating sprinkler systems.
Pick up and/or cart away leaves, paper or other litter
Repair and paint fences, gates, benches, tables, guardrails and outbuildings
Assist in repair of roads, walks, buildings
May clean comfort stations, offices, workshop areas and parking lots by sweeping, washing, mopping and polishing
Must be able to work with team members on the moving of office areas, exterior building components, VIP visits and ceremonies.
