About The Position
Maintain fountains and pools throughout the Garden. Assist construction manager on various projects as needed.
Requirements
- Prior maintenance experience in the construction trades a plus.
- You will be trained in the various operations of the fountains and pools.
- Have a valid Illinois driver’s license insurable by the Chicago Botanic Garden.
- Willing to learn in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Cleaning debris from fountains & pools.
- Making sure water levels are correct in fountains & pools.
- Testing water quality in runnel at Learning Center and adjusting when necessary.
- Checking for leaks in the plumbing systems of fountains and reporting such to engineers.
- Assisting construction manager and engineers in various jobs, from trenching to moving furniture.
