About The Position
Trans Ash is seeking a dedicated General Construction Laborer to join our team at the Barry Steam Plant in Bucks, Alabama. This full-time position involves a variety of essential construction site labor activities that are crucial for the successful completion of our projects. As a General Construction Laborer, you will be responsible for cleaning and preparing construction sites, loading and unloading materials and equipment, digging trenches, compacting earth, and backfilling holes. You will also operate and tend to various machinery and heavy equipment, following instructions from supervisors and assisting tradespeople in their duties. This role is vital to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment, and you will be expected to adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines provided by Trans Ash. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the construction industry, although Trans Ash is willing to provide necessary safety training for the job. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, as well as the capability to work in various weather conditions typical of a construction environment. A valid driver's license is required, and candidates must be at least 18 years of age. Additionally, successful completion of a drug test, motor vehicle record check, and background check is mandatory.
