About The Position

Ability to work full-time, 40 hours per week. 7a-3:30p, Monday through Friday. Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and basic physical. Our people are the heart of our business. Requirements

• Must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements; candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident Card Holders.
• Education - High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year's experience in commercial driving preferred.
• Must have a current driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.
• Obtain and maintain a forklift operator certificate.
• Must be able to pass a commercial driver physical.
• May be required to work overtime or any shift, including weekends.
• Must demonstrate the ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for general inspection of company truck, including minor maintenance as needed.
• Complete required paperwork (i.e., vehicle inspection reports as needed).
• Responsible for prompt and accurate pickup and delivery of customer's parts and related materials, practicing safe driving standards as set by state law.
• Responsible for preparing jobs for shipment and loading and unloading trucks safely and carefully.
• Secure all loads per DOT requirements.
• Maintain professional demeanor and appearance at all times as determined by the company.
• Follow set procedures if involved in an accident: call authorities, complete accident report (in glove box), and call supervisor immediately.
• Report all Warnings, Citations, and Tickets from any roadside inspection or traffic stops to the supervisor upon return to the home plant.
• Provide exceptional customer service by communicating professionally with both external and internal customers.
• Practice and promote safety and good housekeeping and assist in shipping/receiving department as needed.
• Perform other tasks as assigned or dictated by position.
