The Impact You’ll Make in this Role As a Laboratory Technologist, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: Preparing medium‑ and high‑voltage cable accessory test specimens, including cutting, stripping, terminating, and splicing. Assembling test specimens into dedicated test spaces while following laboratory procedures and electrical safety guidelines. Supporting laboratory test execution for product validation, competitive evaluations, and development testing. Documenting sample preparation details, equipment status, test configuration details, and sample/material inventories with accuracy and completeness. Performing routine preventive maintenance on laboratory tools and electrical equipment. Operating material‑handling equipment such as forklifts or hoists, as needed. Collaborating with engineers, technicians, and cross‑functional teams to support troubleshooting and experimental work. Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant laboratory work area.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree, vocational training, or trade certification in a science or technical discipline (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution OR High School Diploma/ GED (completed and verified prior to start) and five (5) years of technical experience in one or more of the following areas: Electrical, maintenance, or laboratory within a private, public, government, or military environment
  • Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with medium‑voltage cable installations or related electrical systems.
  • Ability to follow technical instructions, diagrams, and safety procedures.
  • Demonstrated mechanical and electrical aptitude appropriate for hands‑on laboratory tasks.
  • Experience in electrical equipment maintenance or repair.
  • Forklift and/or hoist operator certification or experience.
  • Prior experience in testing, manufacturing, or R&D laboratory environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Willingness to learn new technical skills and follow standardized procedures.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a laboratory environment and support multiple parallel activities.
