The Laboratory Technologist will provide technical and other supporting assistance in the laboratories as assigned. This role involves working in clinical laboratories, including but not limited to Cytogenetics, Genetics, or Infectious Disease (ID). The technologist will perform clinical laboratory testing using both manual and automated methods, ensuring adherence to laboratory policies and procedures. Key responsibilities include managing the pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical phases of testing, and ensuring all medical laboratory safety standards and quality requirements are met. The technologist will also serve as a laboratory resource for other healthcare personnel and is expected to exercise critical and independent judgment in decision-making and problem-solving. Other related duties may be assigned.
