About The Position

The Laboratory Technologist I position at QualTex Laboratories involves performing laboratory testing, recognizing unusual test results, and maintaining adherence to standard operating procedures. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Applied Science or equivalent.
  • Prefer one year of laboratory experience.
  • Must obtain a working knowledge of regulatory/quality requirements and perform within all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Must have a working knowledge of laboratory techniques.
  • Must be capable of evaluating, interpreting and reporting accurate/valid test results.

Nice To Haves

  • Categorical Certifications preferred.
  • Certified MLT or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform laboratory testing assigned to the department.
  • Recognize unusual test results and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain knowledge of all current standard operating procedures required to perform effectively.
  • Provide world-class customer service by capturing and being responsive to the voice of the customer.
  • Evaluate test results in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Operate equipment utilizing established protocols and within quality control limits.
  • Recognize equipment malfunctions and/or technical problems and take appropriate steps to resolve.
  • Prepare and maintain reports/records and perform computer data entry.
  • Maintain departmental supplies within established inventory levels.
  • Assist with training and/or mentoring of new employees and/or volunteers.
