Responsibilities

• Analyzes organic and inorganic compounds to determine chemical and physical properties, including pH and biochemical oxygen demand.
• Performs bacteriological, chemical, and physical examinations of wastewater and sludge samples, recording results accurately.
• Calibrates instrumentation and records pertinent information related to tests performed.
• Prepares standards and specifications for processes and tests, maintaining laboratory equipment and supplies.
• Performs quality control testing and maintains records, entering data into the computer for State Reports.
• Assists with the collection of wastewater and industrial waste samples.
