About The Position

AGAT Laboratories is a full-service, multi-national laboratory with locations across North America. Their scientists are highly-skilled and specialized in various fields, providing cross-analytical solutions for sectors such as Mining, Environmental, Energy, Transportation, Industrial, Agri-food, and Life Sciences. The role involves performing basic laboratory procedures, administrative support, inventory management, correspondence with vendors, research projects, general lab support, instrument operation, basic analysis, and reporting results.

Requirements

Post-secondary education with a Chemical degree/diploma or equivalent experience.
Basic office or administration experience.
Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
Attention to detail with good organizational skills.
Basic computer skills.
Team player with the ability to work in a positive manner in a fast paced environment.

Nice To Haves

Previous work lab experience is an asset, training will be provided.

Responsibilities

Perform basic laboratory procedures including preparation of samples, reagents and calibration solutions.
Administrative support.
Inventory management of laboratory supplies.
Correspondence with vendors and manufactures.
Research projects through assembly and analyses of date to prepare reports and documentation.
Provide general lab support including washing glassware, cleaning work stations and waste disposal.
Operate instruments, with guidance from senior staff perform maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting.
Perform basic analysis as required.
Report results.
Other duties as assigned.
