About The Position

Bluestone Health Association Inc is a federally qualified health center dedicated to providing high quality healthcare services to underserved communities. We are currently seeking a skilled and detailed-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our clinical team. The ideal candidate will perform a variety of laboratory procedures and tests to support the diagnostic and treatment process under the supervision of healthcare providers. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
Completion of an accredited Laboratory Technician or Medical Laboratory Assistant program.
Phlebotomy skills required
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Nice To Haves

Certification (ASCP, AMT or equivalent) preferred.

Responsibilities

Collect, label, and process patient specimens (blood, urine, etc.) accurately and efficiently.
Perform routine laboratory testing and analyze results according to established protocols.
Maintain accurate documentation of test results and patient records.
Ensure all lab equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and functioning.
Adhere to infection control procedures and universal precautions
Maintain compliance with HIPAA and OSHA standards.
Communicate test results to providers in a timely and confidential manner.
Assist with inventory management and ordering pf lab supplies.
