About The Position

Airgas is Hiring a Lab Technician in St. Louis, MO! We are looking for you ! Join our team as a Lab Technician (Gases Lab Filler) and play a vital role in filling cylinders of mixed gasses within a laboratory environment. You'll contribute to the safe filling of cylinders, adhering to regulatory standards and maintaining compliance. Safety, precision, and adherence to procedures are essential to this role. Safely fill cylinders with mixed gases in accordance with regulatory requirements. Pure gas filling and the preparation of device and specialty gas mixes. Handle liquid gas tanks, always ensuring compliance with OSHA, FDA, DOT, ISO, and Airgas regulations and policies. Safety will be a top priority, as you'll adhere to Airgas SOPs during the loading and unloading of cylinder gases. Your attention to detail and compliance will contribute to maintaining a safe and effective lab environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in industrial operations is a plus.
  • Previous experience in plant operations, industrial maintenance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability in a Gas Lab Filler or Lab Technician role, showing strong motivation and exceptional performance.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-starter with a proactive and self-motivated approach.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to achieve goals.
  • Capability to work independently and manage tasks under pressure.
  • Interpersonal skills to collaborate with a diverse range of individuals.
  • Proficiency in reading and comprehending safety data sheets.
  • Aptitude for following instructions and procedures.
  • Communication and Critical Thinking: Ability to understand and interpret technical documents and regulations.
  • Proficiency in writing routine business reports and effectively communicating with colleagues and customers.
  • Problem-solving capability, especially in situations with limited standardization.
  • Competence in reading and interpreting safety rules and data sheets in English.
