The Yoon Lab is looking for a highly motivated, organized, responsible person who will play a key role in achieving the mission of the lab. Using Drosophila (fruit fly), we aim to discover cellular and molecular mechanisms how metabolic dysfunctions cause human diseases including neurological diseases and cancer. We utilize variety of approaches including genetics, metabolomics, biochemistry, cell and molecular biology as well as confocal and electron microscopy. Our group is located in a newly renovated lab space, and is a member of the rapidly growing Functional and Chemical Genomics Program at the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Responsibilities will include: Conducting genetic experiments and maintaining Drosophila stocks Conducting basic molecular biology experiments such as PCR and cloning Detailed documentation of experiments and results Other duties as assigned
