Work in a team-oriented manufacturing laboratory setting using mammalian cell culture practices and techniques. Understand, follow, and complete process documentation in support of GMP. Understand and follow safety policies as it relates to biological and chemical components and equipment to protect personnel and maintain product quality. Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent required.
  • Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • computer skills
  • working knowledge of metric system.

Nice To Haves

  • BS in Biological sciences preferred.
  • Preference given to applicants with relevant experience in biological production and/or aseptic manufacturing.
  • Mammalian cell culture practices and techniques are desirable.
  • Fundamental understanding of cell growth and general lab practices is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Perform processes and operate equipment required for production of bulk viral antigen.
  • Understand and apply aseptic technique with good cell culture practices as it relates to viral and antibody production within a roller bottle lab.
  • Operate equipment involved in downstream processing of production bulk fluids (e.g., tangential flow filtration, hollow-fiber filtration, sterile filtration, etc.).
  • Using knowledge of bioreactors/fermentors and support equipment, apply skills to identify mechanical problems and maintain equipment.
  • Understand, follow, and complete process documentation in support of GMP.
  • Understand and follow safety policies as it relates to biological and chemical components and equipment to protect personnel and maintain product quality.
