About The Position

Castle Biosciences Inc. is growing, and we are looking to hire a full-time Laboratory Technician (Inventory) working from our Pittsburgh, PA office location, with a start date of February 16, 2026. A typical day for the Laboratory Technician includes daily checks for ordering requests, equipment, and temperature monitoring, and handling of projects related to the success of the inventory department. Tasks for this role are varied in support of the laboratory site's success, including collaboration, coordination, and understanding of several departments onsite, both inside and outside of the laboratory. Three main activities this role includes are inventory tracking, ordering and invoicing, and vendor communication. Please see the full job description at the end of the job ad.

Requirements

High school diploma or enrolled in college classes with an excellent GPA
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and EXCEL
Proven flexibility and dependable performance
All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Currently, Castle Biosciences does not sponsor H-1B visas, OPT, or employment-related visas.

Nice To Haves

MLT (AA) recommended, not required
No work experience required; experience in a laboratory setting preferred
Technical Skills
Strong organizational, computer, LIMS, time management, problem-solving, and communication skills
Independent thinker with the ability to read and understand laboratory standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Familiarity with the laboratory environment and a proactive approach to maintaining smooth operations
