Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or related science preferred.
• Completion of college-level chemistry classes is preferred.
• Prior experience in a laboratory setting is required.
• Excellent communication, organization, and quantitative skills are necessary.
• Proficiency with computer applications is required.
• Ability to document, record, and analyze data and information is essential.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends when necessary.
• Valid Driver's License is required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with chromatography and spectroscopy techniques.
• Background in environmental science or hazardous waste management.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis of facility samples using GC, GCMS, ICP, and various analytical laboratory instruments.
• Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment as needed.
• Properly manage waste generated from analytical procedures.
• Log samples electronically into the lab database and attach necessary documentation.
• Manage the Lab Supply Room, including receiving supplies and maintaining inventory.
• Create sampling kits and manage sample storage, ensuring organization and compliance with safety regulations.
• Assist Chemists as necessary and perform other duties as assigned by management.
