Under close supervision and guidance, the Laboratory Technician I performs assigned tasks by following detailed instructions and established procedures while complying with all Corporate and site Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) requirements. The role includes maintaining analytical laboratories, supporting general laboratory cleanliness, and completing routine activities accurately and consistently. The ideal candidate is self‑motivated and detail‑oriented, capable of making basic decisions and solving routine problems. The position requires the ability to work independently on assigned tasks while remaining flexible and willing to assist coworkers as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or Equivalency
  • Ability to work independently.
  • On an average 8 hour day this position requires the ability to walk, sit and stand, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms at or above shoulder height and below waist height, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk and hear, smell and lift up to 40 pounds
  • Specific vision requirements including reading of written documents, visual inspection of materials and use of computer monitor screen frequently
  • Ability to learn and understand basic technical and laboratory information.
  • Perform routine laboratory tasks and accurately by following established SOP procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain Analytical laboratories, not limited to general laboratory cleanliness, maintain and clean dissolution baths, general glassware cleaning, track equipment and material.
  • Complete minor documentation activities accurately and contemporaneously in accordance with data integrity expectations.
  • Communicate effectively with both internal and external customers, peers and supervisors to facilitate the smooth conduct of project activities.
  • Maintain awareness of cGMP's (Current Good Manufacturing Practices), industry standards, modern techniques and their application to pharmaceutical sciences activities.
  • Ensure all required training and applicable SXP records are current and documented in internal systems.
