About The Position
Faulkton Area Medical Center is seeking a Laboratory Technical Assistant to join our team on an as‑needed (PRN) basis. This role supports day‑to‑day laboratory operations while maintaining strong patient care and safety standards.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Basic computer skills (EMR/LIS experience a plus)
- Knowledge of CLIA, OSHA, and HIPAA preferred
Nice To Haves
- Previous laboratory or healthcare experience preferred

Responsibilities
- Collect and process blood and other laboratory specimens
- Perform selected waived laboratory testing
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and proper handling of biohazard materials
- Support laboratory workflow in a fast‑paced environment
