About The Position

Sentara Leigh Hospital is hiring a laboratory support technician to work part time nights in the clinical lab. (Sun-Thurs; 0300-0700) As a laboratory support technician duties are to prepare specimens per discipline operating procedure for result/interpretation by technical staff and/or pathologists. Performs instrument maintenance and inventory functions per operating procedures Sentara is focused on living its mission — to improve health every day. Sentara Leigh Hospital, located in Norfolk, VA, is a 274-bed acute care facility that opened in 1903 and relocated to its present site in 1977. Sentara Leigh Hospital includes a dedicated Orthopedic Hospital providing patients access to a full continuum of orthopedic care, from the preoperative phase and surgery to rehabilitation and home care services. Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Biology or Chemistry
• No certification or licensure required
