Our Laboratory Support Technicians contribute to efficient lab operations through accurate batch data authorization, draft report preparation, asset tracking, inventory management and clear communication across departments. This role is on 2nd Shift, or 1pm-9:30pm, Monday through Friday.

  • Ability to present standard information and respond to questions from individuals or small groups of internal or external clients.

Responsibilities

  • Review and authorize batch data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with SOPs.
  • Generate draft test reports for management.
  • Maintain and update asset records in systems such as MET/TEAM or similar platforms.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of supplies, chemicals, consumables, and lab materials.
  • Perform routine stock checks and reconcile on-hand quantities with system records.
  • Create purchase requests for supplies and chemicals.
  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against packing slips and purchase orders.
  • Ensure chemicals are logged, labeled, and stored according to safety and compliance requirements.
  • Monitor expiration dates, shelf-life, and hazardous material storage rules.
  • Communicate with other departments to resolve testing issues and clarify inquiries.
  • File paperwork (physical and digital) for test records, calibration certificates, receiving documentation, and inventory logs.
  • Integrates continuous improvement concepts and techniques into all aspects of the job.
  • Read and follow the UL Standards of Business Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices
  • Performs other duties as directed.
