About The Position

Collects and processes specimens by performing phlebotomy collection, labeling, centrifuging, organizing by Laboratory section(s), aliquoting, and storing. Prepares specimens for transport according to Department of Transportation (DOT) and International Air Transport Association (IATA) regulations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English.

• Phlebotomy knowledge helpful.

Responsibilities

• Processes laboratory specimens for testing.
• Evaluates specimen acceptability.
• Enters patient and test information into the computer.
• Responds to requests for information from customers.
• Serves in the laboratory's main communication and customer service systems.
