The position involves managing the procurement of lab equipment and consumables based on internal requests. The role requires contacting vendors to obtain quotes and negotiate pricing, as well as creating and managing purchase orders to ensure timely fulfillment of orders. Additionally, the individual will be responsible for identifying and onboarding new vendors to meet the lab's needs, maintaining strong relationships with existing vendors to ensure quality and reliability, and coordinating returns and refunds for incorrect or defective orders. Monitoring and maintaining inventory levels, including stuck inventory, is also a key responsibility. The individual will need to review and verify order quantities and specifications, ensuring accurate documentation and tracking of purchases and returns.
