About The Position

The Laboratory Supervisor at Texas Health Alliance is responsible for overseeing the laboratory department, which includes Medical Laboratory Scientists and Medical Laboratory Technicians. This position is based in a team-based environment that emphasizes a strong workplace culture and individual performance. The supervisor will manage work schedules, personnel assignments, and delegate responsibilities as needed while also performing complex laboratory procedures when required. The role is full-time, with day shift hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Lab Science, or Chemical, Physical or Biological science
• 5 years of experience under the direction of an MT or Pathologist
• MT(ASCP), CT(ASCP), HTL(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), SCT(ASCP), or equivalent certification upon hire
• 2 years of leadership experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversees work schedules and personnel assignments for the department
• Delegates employee responsibilities as needed
• Assumes and performs complex laboratory procedures when needed
