Position Summary: We are seeking an energetic, hands-on leader to supervise an exceptional team of laboratory professionals at our American Fork location. This role is ideal for someone who can balance hard work with a positive, engaging culture—while maintaining the highest standards of regulatory compliance and patient-focused care. The Laboratory Supervisor is a working supervisor who will oversee all aspects of laboratory operations, including pre-analytic, analytic, and post-analytic workflows. This position requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement. The supervisor plays a key role in preserving our organization’s reputation for friendly, competent, and efficient laboratory services while fostering strong relationships with providers and staff.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in medical technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a chemical, physical, or biological science.
Registered Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist (ASCP) or equivalent.
Minimum of two (2) years of clinical laboratory experience in CLIA moderate or high complexity testing, including: Routine Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, General Immunology, Endocrinology
Working knowledge of CLIA and OSHA laboratory regulations.

Responsibilities

Maintain appropriate staffing levels by recruiting, onboarding, training, and mentoring technical staff.
Perform laboratory testing and specimen collection as needed.
Oversee daily laboratory operations to ensure efficient workflow and staffing utilization.
Monitor quality control, testing performance, and required preventive maintenance of laboratory equipment.
Evaluate laboratory procedures and practices, recommending improvements to enhance quality and efficiency.
Advise the Laboratory Director regarding equipment needs and operational improvements.
Manage laboratory inventory and supplies.
Ensure compliance with all applicable CLIA and OSHA regulations.
Prepare for and support laboratory inspections and audits.
Promote a culture of safety, professionalism, collaboration, and open communication.
Work closely with the Laboratory Services Director to deliver high-quality laboratory services.
