About The Position

Responsible for the supervision of the laboratory testing operations and staff which conduct the analysis and reporting of various products such as crude oil, fuel oils, middle distillates, petroleum and petrochemicals, LPG & LNG gases, etc. This role involves providing assistance to clients in explaining laboratory analysis, determining the authenticity of laboratory certificates analysis, receiving orders from clients on submitted samples, following up on job progress, and reporting status to clients. The position requires maintaining a thorough understanding of sampling techniques, assuring compliance with the Laboratory Q.A. Manual and Safety Manual, performing testing and analysis, and managing timekeeping for direct reports. Quality control of laboratory solutions and standards is also a key responsibility. At all times, compliance with SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct is required.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Science, with emphasis in chemistry or other related field.
• 3-5 years in a management and/or supervisory role.
• Prior experience with instrumentation and calibrations.
