About The Position
As a Lab Supervisor, you create chemistry by leading the site quality team ensuring all released products meet specifications, regulatory requirements, and certification requirements for ISO 9001, European Federation for Cosmetic Ingredients (EFfCI) and Kosher. You will serve as the site quality assurance representative to release cGMP relevant batches and support related cGMP activities such as approving qualification and validation documents. Additionally, you will assure applicable BASF, state, and federal safety/environmental regulations are met; oversee the handling of laboratory hazardous wastes and participate in regulatory reporting requirements as needed. You will oversee the lab data generation and creation of Certificates of Analysis, meeting specific requirements for a wide customer base. Supporting site production and shipping needs by leading laboratory activities to address special testing needs and/or production problems is also part of your role, along with developing and maintaining relevant site procedures. Investigating and addressing customer complaints, leading customer audits, and tracking action items and targets will be essential. You will collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions as necessary, providing site administration for the electronic document management system. Performing routine quality control analyses, when necessary, supporting production and shipping operations and backing up lab technicians, as well as providing lab instrument troubleshooting as needed, will also be part of your responsibilities.
