About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Specimen Processor to join their team in Burlington, NC. This role involves preparing laboratory specimens for analysis and testing, including unpacking, routing, accurately identifying, labeling, packing, and shipping specimens to proper testing facilities. The Specimen Processor is also responsible for meeting department activity and production goals, properly preparing and storing excess specimen samples, and accurately performing data entry of patient information. Resolving and documenting any problem specimens is also a key part of the role. Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
Comfortability with handling biological specimens
Ability to accurately identify specimens
Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
High level of attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multitask
Ability to work in a fast paced production environment and meet established turn-around times
Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position
Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs
