About The Position

The Laboratory Services Administrator at Tennessee Oncology is responsible for overseeing and coordinating strategic initiatives for laboratory services. This role involves collaboration with executive leadership and laboratory management to optimize workflow efficiencies, ensure patient care standards, and implement new services. The administrator will lead projects, monitor effectiveness, and provide financial oversight while fostering a positive working environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science or Bachelor's in a Health-Related Field preferred.
  • Minimum of five years' experience in management, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Project Management Experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong networking and data management skills are required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other computer software programs.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in clinical research.
  • Knowledgeable in accrediting/regulatory agency standards related to laboratory services.

Responsibilities

  • Assures successful realization of goals and implementation of projects to optimize workflow efficiencies.
  • Collaborates with Laboratory Leadership and Clinic Operations to ensure patient care and regulatory standards are met.
  • Leads projects for the Laboratory Services department and participates in organizational projects.
  • Monitors effectiveness of projects and metrics, making changes as indicated.
  • Reviews and analyzes assigned monthly reports concerning Laboratory services.
  • Provides strategic vision for the Laboratory Services Department in collaboration with leadership.
  • Oversees hiring, orientation, supervising, and evaluating personnel according to organizational guidelines.
  • Collaborates with other departments for improved patient care and staff development.
  • Manages financial oversight of Laboratory cost centers and invoices.
  • Reports monthly to Executive Leadership on quality and financials.
