About The Position

The Medical Technologist Supervisor monitors all aspects of operations including daily monitoring of team member schedules, job performance and productivity; oversight of quality and safety standards; and compliance with regulatory requirements. This Medical Technologist Supervisor (Phlebotomy Education and Training) will specifically provide Phlebotomy training and curriculum development, starting with the creation of the curriculum and then the supervision, revision, and implementation of said training program and curriculum. The person in this role will serve as the primary liaison between us and any affiliated Phlebotomy educational institutions. This person will supervise the Phlebotomy team and will promote a culture of positive guest relations and customer service.

Requirements

• Certified as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) by ASCP or equivalent certification.
• Minimum of four (4) years of clinical work experience as a Medical Technologist.
• At least three (3) years in a leadership role.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science (BSCLS) or equivalent qualifications.

Nice To Haves

• Master's Degree in Clinical Lab Science (MSCLS) from an accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Perform evaluation and reporting of procedures outlined in the manual of standard operating procedures.
• Notify ordering physicians of panic values and other customer service communications.
• Resolve problems in testing and quality control.
• Maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Coordinate test schedules, quality control procedures, troubleshooting, and inventory control.
