About the position

The position is an open rank role that supports Dr. Christie's research program investigating motor learning (www.cerebellumlab.org). Duties include mouse husbandry and laboratory management (ordering, stocking, etc.). The position will also assist with histology (sectioning, labeling, and imaging tissue) and small animal surgeries. If time allows, the position will also involve hands-on research on their own project. This component would match the candidate's background, interests, and skills. This position is excellent for someone who wants to gain experience in a research lab setting and develop new skills in advanced neuroscience techniques, perhaps in advance of graduate/medical school. However, it can easily grow into a long-term position.
