About The Position

This position requires the employee to work 100% on-site in a hospital laboratory setting at a strategic client facility located in Winfield, Illinois. You will be managing a client’s referral send-out work coming to Mayo Collaborative Services (MCS) as directed by client management and governed by a client’s business contract. You will provide onsite customer service and be a resource to a client’s clinical laboratory staff. You will manage the biological specimens (e.g. blood, urine) receipt, verification, handling, aliquoting, processing and shipping if applicable, ordering, and specimen resolution. You will communicate with internal and external stakeholders and monitor assigned reports and partner with clients to resolve issues related to specimen submissions. Duties may consist of but are not limited to pending lists, billing charges, Laboratory Information System (LIS) test builds, Joint Test Catalog maintenance, quality metrics and training of send-out staff, and maintaining MCS supply inventory. There may be additional responsibilities as assigned by the client and MCS related to LIS maintenance, documents, and end-user feedback groups. Individuals hired to this position are required to complete 2 years in this position before becoming eligible to apply to other positions within Mayo Clinic. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship; Also, Mayo Clinic DOES NOT participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program.
