We are looking for a motivated, outgoing candidate to join our laboratory administrative team; a candidate that wants to contribute to the health care team by providing oversight to the quality functions of the Revere Health Laboratory services. As part of the administrative team member, you will provide support to laboratory supervisors and medical directors at each of our lab locations, coordinate CLIA and COLA surveys, and communication with the Utah State CLIA office, ensure regulatory compliance through performance of quality audits, policy development, new test validation, and acting as a resource for quality control documentation and troubleshooting. We expect that you will maintain a professional image in appearance and conduct, and balance team and individual responsibilities to contribute to a positive work environment. Candidate must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with physicians, supervisors, and co-workers. Must be able to manage multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously.

  • Laboratory chemical safety officer and oversight of laboratory safety and OSHA standards.
  • Knowledgeable of laboratory CLIA and COLA regulatory standards to ensure laboratory compliance and recommend changes when appropriate and necessary.
  • Writing, evaluating, revising, and modifying laboratories policies and procedures in conjunction with the laboratory medical director.
  • Administers quality assurance for the clinical laboratory including establishing standards, normal values, and methods of control for each laboratory test performed and instruments used.
  • Oversees performance and quality of tests. Plans, designs, and directs installation of new or improved laboratory techniques and tests.
  • Perform internal and external laboratory audits.
  • Acts as a consultant for other departments performing testing regarding CLIA compliance and new test evaluation.
  • Oversight of laboratory quality program including all phases of pre-analytic, analytic, and post-analytic testing, employee competency, QC review, proficiency testing, lab incidents, etc.
  • Test correlation of results from secondary analyzers.
  • New test/analyzer validations.
  • Assist to develop the laboratory quality annual review.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the laboratory information system.
  • Point of care testing in Urgent Care lab locations.
  • Promotes excellent customer service.
  • Assists with addressing complaints regarding laboratory functions.
  • BS in Science
  • Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist ASCP, NCA or equivalent
  • Minimum of two years laboratory training and experience in a laboratory performing CLIA waived, moderate, and high complexity testing.
