About The Position

The Modeling Engineer supports oilfield laboratory operations by developing computational models, analyzing experimental data, and creating digital tools that enhance laboratory testing and interpretation. This role combines laboratory science, experiment with data analytics, simulation, and software development. Sponsorship available

Requirements

Master’s or PhD degree in Computer Science or from relevant discipline
Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work
Ability to work in a team environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office package, Python is required.

Responsibilities

Work in a laboratory environment that may contain chemical odors.
Perform assigned duties according to the current HSE laboratory safety standards.
Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations while performing assigned duties.
Collect data, document test results, and assist report preparation.
Ability to work with process and modeling software (e.g., OLI, Petro-SIM) and willingness to learn and apply scale and corrosion modeling using field and laboratory data.
Design and conduct experiments simulating field conditions.
Maintain, operate, and troubleshoot high-pressure, high-temperature lab equipment.
Analyze data and prepare detailed reports.
Develop testing standards and protocols.
Support product development with testing insights.
Perform material compatibility tests with various solvents and chemicals.
