What are we looking for? The Laboratory Manager is responsible for Quality Management, Health, Safety and Environmental Compliance, Legal and Ethical Compliance, and Training. What you’ll do: Render to clients an accurate, rapid, and efficient testing service of indisputable integrity Provide adequate supervision of testing and review of results Ensure that adequate calibrated equipment and trained personnel are available for all jobs Perform Laboratory employee performance, maintains discipline and recommends hiring and dismissal Seek new business Be a positive company representative to clients Set a positive example for all employees through your professional behavior and foster a professional atmosphere Carry out all responsibilities in a supportive manner with adherence to the Company's Safety Policy and Procedures, Quality Management System, Ethics Policy, Environmental Management System, Vision and Strategy Exercise good judgement, common sense, and diplomacy in the lab and with managing the team This position outline is a general guideline and does not represent all encompassing details. Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong Leadership skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate employees to actively support the objectives of the laboratory
  • Organized with time management skills
  • Experience in handling chemical and petroleum products
  • Protocol, procedure and safety oriented
  • Understand the significance of the data generated by test methods
  • Valid Driver's License with reliable driving record is required
  • High school diploma or equivalent and 3+ years of relevant experience in the petroleum industry
