About The Position

The Laboratory Manager of Anatomic Pathology will administer policies, manage personnel and daily activities in the delivery of quality patient care within Pathology General Histology. As the Laboratory Manager, you will maintain adequate inventories of supplies and reagents to perform testing, assure adequate equipment is available, operational and performance monitored, and monitor current accreditation standards to ensure department compliance with all regulatory agencies (CAP, JCAHO, NCCLS, CLIA, ASHI, OSHA, Federal Regulations, and AABB). You will also develop, plan, and audit departmental goals and budget, and monitor and serve as a resource for activities related to physical plant, data processing, and educational training of students and Departmental/Hospital committees.

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Chemistry, or Biologic Science.
• 5 years of current/related clinical laboratory experience in department specialty or area of concentration.
• Two (2) years of supervisory experience in laboratory or clinical setting.
• MLS/MT (ASCP, AMT, HEW, or equivalent) certification.
