Laboratory Intern
About The Position
Park Nicollet is looking to hire a Laboratory Intern to join our team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day. Position Summary: Our laboratory internship program is designed to help prepare students and/or recent graduates to relate and apply what they have learned in a classroom setting to a health care organization while assisting with projects to support the mission and objectives of the organization and expose young professionals to operational activities. The laboratory intern will be guided by a mutually beneficial set of goals and objectives. This internship will provide a greater understanding of various parts of the lab including but not limited to specimen collections, receipt, processing, testing, and reporting. Tasks and project(s) will be developed jointly by the intern and leadership to mutually benefit the intern and the organization.
Requirements
- Must be enrolled in or graduated from a higher education program in an applicable discipline that relates to the laboratory internship program.
- Microsoft Office suite of products

- Previous healthcare/laboratory related experience
- Demonstrates strong analytic skills and confidence in decision making.
- Demonstrates ability to work collegially with internal and external contacts.
- The intern will be expected to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
