About the position
This position serves as an entry level internship position working in the PLM, TEM and IAQ departments. Internship is a full time temporary position through the summer with the potential to extend part time through the school year. Intern will assist all areas of the laboratory with administrative and basic laboratory tasks.
Responsibilities
- Regular attendance and punctuality
- Assist with quality control administrative tasks
- Receive customer correspondence and direct the information to the appropriate personnel
- Prepare samples for analysis
- Log in client samples
- Stock laboratory supplies
- Maintain, clean and prepare glassware and other laboratory equipment
- Assist with special projects as needed
Requirements
- Pursuing an Associates or Bachelor’s degree in physical or life science
- Strong computer, scientific, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivated, and a positive attitude
- Handle moderate stress
- Detail oriented
- Ability to follow instructions and comply with SOPs
- Effective communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
- Adaptability to work in varying laboratory environments
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
- Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English
Benefits
- Full-time Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
- Pay rate: $15/hr
