About The Position

The Laboratory Information System Analyst is responsible for the internal coordination of the Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) at Mercy Medical Center. This role involves working closely with IT to build, revise, and update LIS files, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards, and managing lab report writing and work queues. The analyst must possess a strong understanding of the software and hardware used in larger laboratory computer systems.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • A.S. in Medical Laboratory Technology or B.S. in Medical Laboratory Science or qualifications for Medical Technologist.
  • Minimum of 3 years of Clinical Laboratory experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of computer experience.
  • ASCP Certification or equivalent preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Meditech and Epic systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
