About The Position

IEH Laboratories, a Leader in Food Safety, is now accepting applications for a Part-Time Laboratory Courier position at its facility in Fresno, CA. Ideal candidates will possess the following: A high school diploma or GED (required); an associate degree in Biology or related field (preferred) Some laboratory experience (preferred) Proficiency with data entry and computer applications Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong understanding of aseptic technique in the laboratory Ability to regularly lift up to 30lbs above waist level Ability to occasionally lift up to 50lbs above waist level A valid US driver's license and clean driving record (including, at minimum, no accidents in the last 5 years) that meets/continues to meet motor vehicle risk standards, as verified through ongoing MVR monitoring. This position is responsible for safely transporting samples from customers to the lab on a fixed schedule; cleaning and maintaining coolers for sample transport; preparation and QC of various medias; sample preparation; data entry and maintenance of documentation; inventory control; and other duties as assigned. The pay for this position is $19.00 - $21.00 hourly. The shift for this position is part-time (20-30 hours/week), with a flexible schedule (operating hours are Monday - Friday, starting at 7:00am). This position eligible for the following benefits: paid sick leave (1 hour for every 30 hours worked, up to 40 hours annually) and 401(k). Part-time employees may be eligible for medical insurance after 6 months if working more than 30 hours/week on average during an initial 5-month measurement period.
