About The Position

You will be the Laboratory Controls and Data Acquisition Engineer for the Vehicle Systems organization’s laboratory team, supporting a diverse set of aircraft test laboratories within a defense contractor environment. What You Will Be Doing As the Laboratory Controls and Data Acquisition Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting advanced mechanical and electrical testing in aircraft and vehicle system development, qualification, and sustainment. You will work with modern control systems and data acquisition systems/instrumentation, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and solve complex engineering challenges. Your responsibilities will include: Designing, developing, and implementing control systems and data acquisition systems for laboratory testing. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support laboratory operations and testing. Mentoring junior engineers and organizing team members to accomplish larger projects. Supporting other laboratories within the Vehicle Systems organization, including the Fuel Test Facility, Environmental Control Systems (ECS) Lab, Bird Strike Facility, and the Design and Development Lab. Solving complex engineering challenges and troubleshooting issues with control systems and data acquisition systems. Who You Are The ideal candidate will be an experienced controls and data acquisition engineer with a strong background in laboratory testing and control systems. You will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to mentor and lead junior engineers. Further Information About This Opportunity MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an Interim Secret clearance to start. This position is in Fort Worth, TX  Discover Fort Worth. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field Experience in electrical engineering, controls, data acquisition, industrial automation, or laboratory test systems Strong understanding of analog and digital electronics, including schematic interpretation and system-level design Ability to work effectively in hands-on laboratory environments and elevated platforms Desired skills Strong system-level troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and instrumentation Experience designing and supporting data acquisition (DAQ) systems Hands-on experience programming Wago PLCs and distributed I/O control systems Proficiency in Python, including automation and application development Experience developing or maintaining Qt-based graphical user interfaces Experience with National Instruments hardware and CVI or similar test software environments Strong documentation, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills Experience with instrumentation such as accelerometers, pressure transducers, flow meters, thermocouples, and control valves Familiarity with vibration testing, modal testing, or dynamic test environments preferred Experience with fuel systems, ECS, or mechanical actuation systems preferred Lockheed Martin is an equal opportunity employer. Ability to work remotely Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedule Information Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Security Clearance Information This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $109,200 - $192,510. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible. Requirements
