Laboratory Products An opportunity exists for an experienced sales professional in the Laboratory Products area of Thermo Fisher Scientific supporting Laboratory Consumable products. Our organization unites deep scientific expertise, a collaborative culture and resources to deliver the lab equipment and consumables that our customers need to achieve their scientific goals – quickly, reliably and safely. Our thoughtful lab solutions make it faster and easier for customers to focus on what matters most – delivering answers and innovations that save and improve lives. Location: This is a Field Sales position Covering the major metropolitan areas in Virgina and some accounts in DC. Residency near the territory is required. No relocation assistance provided.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required, preferably within Life Sciences, STEM, or Business
  • At least 3 years of highly successful laboratory sales experience, or product management experience required.
  • Must have an outstanding understanding of our markets and be knowledgeable of diverse laboratory product applications.

  • Required travel ~50% - 75% of the time

Responsibilities

  • Achieve assigned territory revenue goals through purposefully pursuing sales opportunities with current and potential customers
  • Develop a robust sales pipeline and proactively develop strong customer relationships
  • Collaborate and train our channel partners to develop and close sales opportunities
  • Seek and promote new business potential through offering Thermo Fisher Scientific’s broad product portfolio and engage all appropriate colleagues to achieve maximum results for the company in total.
  • Participate in assigned corporate and focus account initiatives.
