The Laboratory Clinical Specialist is responsible for organizing, performing and assigning laboratory procedures to technicians/technologists, and maintaining general efficiency in assigned areas. These responsibilities extend to all areas of the laboratory in the absence of the Administrative Laboratory Director and/or Clinical Manager or Anatomic Pathology Manager. The role includes ensuring compliance with all signed approved SOPs and technical procedures, testing and implementing new procedures, maintaining technical competency, evaluating equipment operation, and overseeing quality control programs.
