We are seeking a Laboratory Associate to join Q2 Solutions, IQVIA's laboratory business at Austin, TX. The Sample Processing Associate supports sample processing by coordinating the efficient and controlled flow of kits and reagents, maintaining inventory records, and ensuring timely and accurate documentation.

  • Identifying necessary kits and reagents for production sets and locating them via inventory databases or freezer maps.
  • Performing physical transfers of reagents from freezers to designated locations for production use.
  • Recording all stock movements and issues using inventory control systems.
  • Performing inventory-related duties such as cycle counting, sequestering, and scrapping as needed.
  • Assisting in the development and writing of laboratory procedures and techniques.
  • Communicating clearly and timely with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Notifying staff of supply shortages and maintaining good housekeeping consistent with 6S standards.
  • Participating in continuing education, safety, quality, and 6S initiatives.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in a science discipline with clinical laboratory experience under GLP and/or CLIA guidelines preferred, or High School Diploma/Certificate in a science discipline with 2 years of relevant laboratory experience under GLP and/or CLIA guidelines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Working knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and regulatory standards such as CLIA requirements.
  • Knowledge of laboratory safety and infection control procedures.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, and close eye work requirements (computer, typing, reading small prints).
  • Occasional exposure to cold temperatures.
  • Effective communication and ability to build strong working relationships.
