About The Position
We are seeking a Laboratory Assistant to join Q2 Solutions, IQVIA's laboratory business in Valencia, CA. This role is essential in assisting with a variety of routine activities associated with the receipt of clinical specimens. As a Laboratory Assistant, you will provide both administrative and technical support to the laboratory, ensuring that all processes run smoothly and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include maintaining glassware, which involves washing, rinsing, drying, distributing, and storing various laboratory items such as test tubes, beakers, flasks, and cylinders. You will also be tasked with maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of work areas, which includes disinfecting workbenches, materials, equipment, and other laboratory areas to uphold safety and hygiene standards. In addition to these duties, you will prepare and sterilize laboratory supplies, equipment, and other materials necessary for laboratory operations. Tube labeling and preparation will also fall under your responsibilities, as well as facilitating post-analysis storage and sample banking. You may be required to conduct routine equipment maintenance to ensure that all laboratory equipment is functioning correctly.
