El Centro Family Health is seeking a full-time Laboratory Assistant dedicated to serving the needs of our community. An ideal candidate should possess the following qualities: Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community. Attention to detail. Willing to travel to outlying clinics as needed. Excellent communication skills. Knowledge and fluent skills of Microsoft Office Excel and Word applications, internet explorer usage, and Outlook. Responsibilities Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager, the Laboratory Assistant is responsible for assisting the ECFH clinic team by preparing and processing laboratory specimens, maintaining records relative to laboratory testing, and providing support in the diagnosis of illness. Minimum requirements Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience: None Certifications: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR); Basic Life Support (BLS). Other Requirements: Tuberculin Skin Test (TST). HepB Vaccine or Declination Competency: Required at end of Introductory Period and annually thereafter.
