The Laboratory Assistant / Phlebotomist I is responsible for the operation and orga nization of the Central Collection department while supporting the philosophy and objectives established by the Board of Directors and Management Team. This role includes performing a variety of specimen collection and processing procedures, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance in all aspects of laboratory work. In this position, you will perform venous and capillary specimen collections with precision, maintain strict attention to detail in labeling and handling samples, and follow all technical and laboratory procedures required to meet regulatory standards, including those set by voluntary and government agencies. You will also play an important role in maintaining workflow within the department, solving practical problems, resolving conflicts when they arise, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
