Aspirus Rhinelander Hospital is seeking a dedicated Laboratory Assistant to join our team. The Lab Assistant I will work under general supervision and adhere to established policies and procedures to perform essential manual and technical tasks related to the collection, labeling, processing, and distribution of biological specimens for laboratory testing. This role is crucial in ensuring that specimens are handled correctly and efficiently for patients of all ages. The Laboratory Assistant will utilize relevant computer programs for data entry, manage test cancellations and credits, and maintain accurate records to support laboratory operations. The position requires a commitment to quality and safety in laboratory practices, as well as a strong focus on customer service. The successful candidate will demonstrate a pleasant and accommodating personality, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. This role is part of a collaborative team that values compassion, accountability, and foresight, and is dedicated to providing exceptional care to our community. The hours for this position are occasional, with a .001 FTE, translating to .08 hours bi-weekly, and will involve varied shifts.
