About The Position
Orlando Health LabWorks provides convenient outpatient diagnostic laboratory services across Central Florida. Our certified phlebotomists deliver accurate testing, rapid results, and exceptional customer service. Role Overview: The Laboratory Assistant II supports specimen processing, patient registration, and laboratory operations.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Two (2) years of laboratory or patient care experience
- OR
- Current student pursuing a science-related degree (nursing, medical technology, pre-med, etc.)
- Knowledge of specimen collection and handling
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours
Nice To Haves
- Phlebotomy skills preferred
Responsibilities
- Receiving and processing specimens
- Registering patients and entering orders
- Centrifuging, labeling, and aliquoting samples
- Maintaining supplies and equipment
- Assisting with pathology specimens and phlebotomy (with competency)
- Ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
